Thor and his companions travel to Nastrond, where once lived a evil race who defied Odin and felt his wrath, so powerful, depriving this lands from life. As night falls, the fellowship sleeps while Volstagg mounts guard. Suddenly an old man approaches, offering to lead Volstagg to the cave of the ancients, where glory awaits. Once they get inside the cave, the old man turns into a giant dragon-like creature named Fafnir, king of the ancient evil race, who survived Odin’s wrath and waited for untold ages for revenge.
