Finding himself trapped with JJJ in flooding cell by the Kingpin, Spider-Man manages to break lose and frees Jameson too. While Spider-Man fights the Kingpin’s crooks, JJJ tries to escape, only to be knocked out by hitting a low-hanging pipe with his head. In the meantime, Spider-Man reaches the Kingpin and fights him barehanded, disabling his sleeping gas first. As soon as the Kingpin realizes that he‘s losing, he decides to escape. Meanwhile, the also captured Fred Foswell, JJJ’s top reporter, finds the recovered Jameson running from some armed goons. The criminals shot at Jameson, but hit Foswell instead, who dies before Spider-Man can defeat the Kingpin’s remaining men.
