S.H.I.E.L.D. leader Nick Fury briefs the Avengers on some ongoing attacks all over the world, delivered by five old enemies. In South America, Swordsman and Power Man try to conquer a fortified city with a handful of mercenaries on account of the Mandarin, but fail their task as Goliath, the Wasp and Iron-Man clear the menace. In Asia, Hercules and the Scarlet Witch engage in an epic clash against the Executioner and the Enchantress, both defeated by the mighty son of Zeus. In Africa, the Living Laser gets confronted by Thor and Hawkeye, and as they defeat him, he calls on Mandarins greatest creation: Ultimo. It takes the combined skills of both superheroes to finish the gargantuan android. Meanwhile, Captain America and Quicksilver learn the location of Mandarins base, and reach it with the entire team reunited. But the Mandarin is not unprepared, and baths them with some rays from a huge crystal, which causes the superheroes to fight each other. Whilst the madness happens, the main generator gets hit and as the rays cease, huge explosions shatter the space station’s hull, sucking the Mandarin out into space. The Avengers fly back to earth while the space station explodes behind them.
