Reed and the Torch reach the Mad Thinker hideout, where dozens of traps await them. While the Torch gets knocked out by an electro-barrier, Mr. Fantastic reaches the Mad Thinker before he’s able to kill the chemist taken hostage, defeating him in hand-to-hand combat. But as the Thinker gets handed over to the police, the still maddened Thing finds both teammates and attacks them. They fight until reaching the Baxter building, where Richards activates a gizmo which knocks everyone out. In the meantime the Mad Thinker reaches jail, and as he gets there he remotely activates his most powerful android which breaks out off his hideout and heads towards the Baxter building.
