Cyclops and Iceman defeat the military at the US army base and are about to sabotage the Mutant Masters’s plan, Unus the Untouchable and Mastermind attack them. Even though they’re heavily outnumbered, they manage to destroy the deadly gas bomb at the base and escape safely. In the east, the remaining X-Men manage to free themselves, but are confronted by the fully recovered Blob. As in the west, they manage to sabotage the bomb and escape. The X-Men reunite at the Mutant Master’s hideout, where the evil mutants gathered to defend. Suddenly the freed Professor Xavier appears and ceases the hostility, by turning the evil mutants against the Mutant Master. But the evil master unleashes his androids army as defense. Meanwhile, the Banshee recovers and reaches the Mutant Master from behind, hitting him with his shriek. The Mutant Master explodes along his droids, and the X-Men turn happily back to their HQ, where they get new costumes made from Jean.
