Thor and his companions, aided by the rebellious Alibar, storm Mogul palace, only to find out that he’s gone. With the help of Mogul’s own devices they track the villains location down and Hogun performs a powerful spell from great distance, which kills the evil Mogul before he’s able to spread then lethal plague over the country. Alibar becomes prince of the Zanadu realm, while Thor and his faithful companions ride back to Asgard.
This was the last issue of Tales of Asgard, which started on Journey into Mystery #97 in October 1963, and ran for exactly four years. Thanks to this series we learn about Thor’s youth and some general knowledge of the nordic mythology.
