The mysterious creation immobilizes the scientist who went along with Alicia, while calls her forth, sensing her kindness. Once she reaches the voice, Alicia realizes that the creature is in a huge cocoon, which is about to open. Meanwhile, Reed creates an exact copy of the same gizmo which enabled the scientist to abduct Alicia, and with the help of the Human Torch and the Thing, they reach the scientists lab, putting up a huge fight against them.
In the meantime, the creature inside the cocoon loses grip over the immobilized scientist, which reaches Alicia and tries to shoot the cocoon before it opens. Sensing the imminent danger, the cocoon bursts an energy blast on the scientist, which breaks finally the shell, killing the scientist, but sparing Alicia. The FF reach Alicia and rescue her right before the emerged super-human destroys the whole lab with all the evil scientists within.
